On the day of Eyelid correction you should arrive at our clinic half an hour before the start of treatment. A correction of the lower eyelids takes a maximum of 60 minutes.
Before the correction takes place, the doctor will take photos of your eyes. The excess skin is marked and the area to be treated is anaesthetised. You may also be given a sedative. For very anxious patients, the treatment can be carried out under anaesthetic.
When correcting the lower eyelids or bags under the eyes, excess skin and, if necessary, fatty tissue is removed or redistributed. The incision is made directly under the lash line. The scars are barely visible or not visible at all after the treatment. To keep the wound dry after the treatment, small plasters are applied to the treated area.

If there is no sagging of the skin, but only bags under the eyes, the transconjunctive Eyelid correction be a suitable treatment. A small incision is made on the inside of the eyelid. The incision, and therefore the scar, is no longer visible after the treatment. In order to reduce the fat, this treatment does not involve cutting through muscles. This lower eyelid correction method is usually performed on younger patients who only suffer from bags under the eyes. With this eyelid correction method, the skin is not tightened, only the bags under the eyes are reduced.
Immediately after the treatment, your eyelids will be cooled with a cool pack or ice water pads. You must not drive yourself after the treatment. We also recommend that you do not spend the first night alone. If necessary, use an additional pillow so that your head is slightly higher. This will help to reduce the swelling.
You do not need to wear a bandage around the eye. After the treatment you should hardly have any after-pain. Occasionally, we recommend that you apply a Paracetamol to take. Bruising and swelling may occur. However, the thin skin usually heals quickly and well.
Do not use contact lenses for the first 10-14 days. Avoid strenuous movements during the first 3 weeks (do not lift more than 5kg). The small scars may appear reddish in colour for the first few months. However, they should gradually turn white. After one to three months, the scars are practically invisible. In the first year, however, we recommend always using a sun cream with SPF 20.
After 5 to 7 days, you will return to the clinic for a check-up. The stitches will also be removed at this time.
As with all surgical procedures, there is also a risk of an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic fluids, disinfectant or plasters during lower eyelid correction. An infection can occur even in a sterile environment. The probability of eye damage occurring is very low. A disruption in wound healing or bleeding does not usually have a negative effect on the final result. Bald, oval patches have been forming on my head for about 5 years. My doctor diagnosed this as alopecia areata. The hair falls out more frequently during periods of stress. I have a fairly light skin colour. My hair colour is something between blonde and red. If the weather outside is really nice and I don't put on a good moisturiser, I burn within half an hour. When I went to the dentist and he pointed it out to me, I was shocked. He said that I would really have problems if this went on for a few more years. He even mentioned the possibility of dentures. I immediately went in search of specialists who could help me with my problem. The dentist pointed out that toxin treatment can reduce teeth grinding in many people. I had previously had my upper eyelids treated at the Acura Medical Centre. For this reason, I first enquired at this clinic about my options. As I was very satisfied with the result and the course of my previous treatment, I decided to have toxin treatment at the Acura Medical Centre. Fortunately, it helped. I have to say. Today, after 9 days of the operation, I am already super satisfied. Riding breeches gone. Tummy is gone. Hips are great. I only have a bruise on my right leg. There is hardly any swelling. I would never have expected this result after such a short time. Even my lymphatic specialist says she has never seen such a great result after just a few days (she worked as a physio at the KÖ for years). But I will report back. As for the clinic itself, ALL THE LADIES AND PASCAL ARE SUPER COMPETENT and very nice. I immediately felt at ease. The interview for the operation went smoothly. I also wanted to have my inner legs suctioned. Pascal said he didn't think it was necessary. He could also have said yes, of course we'll do it the way you want it. However, his statement gave me a great feeling that I was in the right clinic.

After dealing with the issue of drooping eyelids for several years, I came across the Acura Clinic in Weert by chance at the beginning of the year. The first telephone contact already gave me a good feeling. During my consultation with Dr Yalvac, my remaining fears were allayed. All my questions were answered and, with the help of a mirror, it was explained to me exactly how the operation would proceed. On 02 June 2017, the time had come. Everyone took great care of me and put me at ease. The anaesthetic injections (one of my biggest fears) and the procedure were perfect. I felt absolutely nothing and there was a pleasant, calm atmosphere in the operating theatre. I was asked again and again if everything was OK. After the procedure, I was given a cooling compress and coffee. My daughter, who accompanied me, was brought to me and I was able to lie down and relax for a while. I was given an emergency telephone number to take home with me and told: "If you're worried about anything, just give me a call. I had no pain at all. Today, five days later, was the appointment to remove the stitches. Again, I received a warm and friendly welcome. When I looked in the mirror 10 minutes later and saw myself for the first time without plasters, stitches and, above all, without drooping eyelids, I was flashed. Only five days and already a sensational result. I am overjoyed to have decided to take this step and would like to say a big thank you to the whole team.
I can only recommend this great team in Weert to anyone who is thinking about it.

I have suffered from severe hair loss on the top of my head for many years. I was able to cover it up very well with a special powder, but it was always associated with many restrictions. (Wind, rain, swimming, cycling etc.) Last year I decided to have a hair transplant. I got a few quotes and had a few consultations. I came across the clinic in Weert by chance on the Internet. I sent some photos over by e-mail and then very quickly got an appointment for a consultation and also my desired date for the hair transplant at short notice. In retrospect, I have to say it was quite an intense procedure. But even while I was lying on the operating table, I knew that I had made the right decision. I felt that I was in incredibly good hands and the atmosphere was relaxed and calm. My biggest fear, lying still for a long time, the procedure took several hours, was strangely enough quite bearable. The team worked calmly and very professionally. It turned out that they only carried out hair transplants. I would like to praise them once again. If anyone decides to have this transplant, it is best to plan three weeks' holiday.
Preferably in winter, when you can make ends meet by wearing hats. I had my transplant just before Christmas, which saved me a few days' holiday, and from March I was able to go capless again? Today, six months after the transplant, I am incredibly happy to have taken this step. I think that far too few women deal with it. For my part, I can only report positive things. And if I were to judge the clinic now, I can only say that it gets full marks for everything. Everything was right all round. Friendly, courteous and really concerned about the well-being of their patients.

Had an upper blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago. It turned out incredibly well. The scars are invisible. Dr Wolff really is a gifted doctor, his team is always extremely friendly and professional. I researched for a very long time and second opinions were also important to me. I am very, very happy with the result.

I had surgery on my upper eyelids on 11 January 2017 by Dr Pascal Duijsters.
A consultation took place two months beforehand to discuss the procedure. I immediately felt that I was in very good hands. All my questions were answered.
On the day of the operation, I was allocated a room and given a funny little cap to wear on my head. After about 15 minutes I was ready to go. My eyelids were anaesthetised with a syringe (similar to the one used at the dentist). I didn't notice anything, absolutely nothing, about the procedure. In between, I was asked again and again how I was feeling, whether I could feel anything, and so on.
After about 35 minutes, I was taken back to my room, where I was immediately given cooling compresses. After about 30 minutes, Dr Pascal Duijsters came by again and asked how I was feeling. We were then able to drive home. We were also given an emergency number in case of an emergency.
I had a little pain after the operation. After 2 hours of sleep and a lot of cooling, things got better. My eyes were swollen and bruised for the first three days. After that it got better every day.
The stitches were removed after a week. But I still look a bit damaged. But I can close my eyes properly. And the result is already tremendous despite the slight swelling. I already feel wonderful. As I can wear make-up again after the stitches have been removed, I will be able to go back to work after just 8 days. I will have my final examination in three months.
I can only recommend this clinic to anyone. You immediately feel that you are in good hands. Not to mention the price.

(...) I was surprised by the favourable price and the positive comments. So I decided to make an appointment for a consultation. Even the reception by Annick was exceptionally friendly. The consultation with Dr Pascal Duijsters was very informative and unobtrusive. The operation itself was also not an issue. They kept talking to me to take my mind off things. I was also always asked if everything was OK. After the operation, I was taken to a quiet room to rest and cool down. My wife was also waiting here. After a coffee for me and tea for my wife, we were then given a very friendly farewell with some rules of conduct, not without having been given an emergency number where Dr P. Duijsters could also be contacted during the night if I had any problems. Apart from very slight pain after the operation, I had no problems (small swelling and slightly blue underneath). They also called to enquire about my condition.
But the best thing was the result. Despite some minor swelling, it was simply fantastic, just the way I wanted it. I can only recommend this clinic and the team, I would go there again and again.
Many thanks to the whole team. You always make me feel like I'm coming home.

On 1 July 2015 (it was very hot), Dr ten Broek removed my drooping eyelids. Thanks to good cooling (which you get straight away at the clinic), my eyes weren't too swollen. As I had just come back from holiday, the colouring around my eyes was not so noticeable. Large sunglasses also helped.
After a week, the stitches were removed. It's now been 14 days and I'm absolutely delighted with the result. The ophthalmologist I saw today also confirmed that the operation was a great success. I would have it done at this clinic again at any time.
A very friendly, competent team (especially Iris) and a great atmosphere. Thank you for that.

I come from Düsseldorf, a city that has numerous plastic surgery practices. After a few preliminary examinations, I was advised to contact acuramed. The consultation, the personal care and the explanation of the risks were explained to me in German in a very comprehensible way. Dr F. W. ten Broek performed the operation on 20.01.15 and I was able to leave the clinic after about 1 hour. On the 1st day after the operation, I received a phone call asking how I was feeling. I found this very emphatic. All treatment contracts are written in German. Yesterday I had my follow-up appointment, which is part of the treatment programme. The feel-good factor in this clinic is very high. The team works very well together. I would recommend the clinic at any time. Many thanks to the team! The result is very good and is currently continuing to heal.
