Cosmetic surgery for men

Prominent figures and 'it-men' (the male equivalent of 'it-girls') are leading the way: wrinkle treatments, skin tightening, liposuction. Cosmetic surgery for men is no longer a taboo subject. This is according to a survey commissioned by the German Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. We will show you which procedures are the most popular below.

Row 1: Eyelid lift

A full 21 percent of cosmetic surgeries performed on men in 2017 were eyelid lifts. This procedure removes drooping eyelids, which are usually caused by the skin becoming slack as a result of the natural ageing process – though a genetic origin is also possible. They make the eye appear smaller, with drooping skin tissue covering the upper eyelid or the eyelid crease. Often, this skin then rests on the lash line. Drooping eyelids make a patient look tired, old, and exhausted. Sometimes, they are so pronounced that they restrict the field of vision.

The counterpart to Drooping eyelids These are what are known as "tear troughs". They are a temporary or permanent accumulation of fluid in the eyelid tissue, or a permanent loosening and protrusion of the skin and underlying structures (muscles and fatty tissue).

Both drooping eyelids and under-eye bags can be removed with a minor surgical procedure.

2nd place: Liposuction

12.2 percent of men who have had cosmetic surgery opted for liposuction last year. Male patients often tend to have a disproportionate distribution of fat on their abdomen. This fat accumulation can usually not be specifically treated or even removed through exercise and diet.

To achieve a harmonious body silhouette with a flat stomach, a Liposuction with us.

3rd Place: Breast Reduction/Gynaecomastia Treatment

Many men suffer from the development of a feminine-looking chest and therefore feel restricted in their masculinity. If the distress is high, self-confidence decreases and shame increases, many affected individuals opt for gynaecomastia surgery. It is important here to differentiate between male breasts: If genuine gynaecomastia is present, meaning glandular tissue has formed in men, a different approach is required than in pseudogynaecomastia, which is due to excessive fat accumulation. Mixed forms are also possible.

In 2017, 11.5 percent of cosmetic surgeries performed on male patients were breast reductions.

If you also suffer from male breasts, come to us for a consultation. For excessive fat accumulation, we can help with liposuction.

4th Place: Sweat Gland Treatments for Hyperhidrosis

„Sweat flows when muscles cry!“ – That's how some men excuse themselves when they start to sweat heavily. In itself, it's not a problem and is completely normal when the body produces sweat during exertion – after all, it also serves as the body's own air conditioning system. If a man sweats a lot despite not having done any strenuous work, the medical condition hyperhidrosis could be the cause.

With this pathological type of sweating, we can Sweat gland treatment at your place.

6.1 percent of men who had surgery in 2017 also opted for this treatment.

5th Place: Facelift

Nicht nur bei Frauen sorgt ein Facelift not only for a younger, fresher facial appearance but also for men. Therefore, 5.9 percent have had a facelift. This procedure tightens and, if necessary, removes sagging tissue so that the face appears several years younger. The signs of ageing are considerably alleviated and reversed.
