Permanent results: Permanent hair removal with laser
In contrast to the methods just mentioned, you must use the Laser hair removal actively do nothing themselves. They come to us in the Acura clinic and receive treatment.
Permanent hair removal with laser is based on the principle of selective hair removal. Photothermolysis and works as follows:
Absorption of the laser light
The laser emits light energy that is absorbed by the melanin (the dark pigment) in the hair. This happens particularly efficiently when the hair is in the so-called anagen phase. This is the growth phase in which the hair root is fully located in the hair follicle and therefore responds best to the treatment.
Heating of the hair root
The absorbed light is converted into heat. This heat energy is transferred specifically to the hair root. The cells responsible for hair growth (hair follicles) are selectively damaged or destroyed.
Slowing down hair growth
After the treatment, the hair in the treated root dies and eventually falls out. As a rule, new hair can no longer grow back from this root. If they do, they grow back much more slowly and much weaker.
Several sessions
As hairs are in different growth phases and the laser can only effectively treat hairs in the anagen phase, several treatment sessions are required at intervals of several weeks. This is necessary to cover all hairs.
Advantages of permanent hair removal with laser
Long-term results
Unlike temporary methods such as shaving or waxing, laser hair removal offers long-lasting results. After completing the recommended treatment sessions, you can experience a significant reduction in hair growth and even complete hairlessness in the desired areas.
Precision
The laser targets the hair follicles without damaging the surrounding tissue. This makes the treatment particularly effective for removing unwanted hair, even on larger areas of the body such as the back, legs or chest.
Improvement in skin quality
Laser treatment can also improve the appearance of the skin. Ingrown hairs hardly occur any more, which also reduces the frequency of skin irritation.
Adaptable to different skin and hair types
Modern laser devices are able to adapt to different skin and hair types.
Low invasiveness and comfort
Most patients find laser hair removal less painful than other methods such as waxing or epilating.
