Laser and ultrasound in wrinkle treatment

Wrinkle Treatment Weert

In recent years, many new treatments for skin improvement and rejuvenation have come onto the market, for which there is no surgical intervention (as with a Facelift more injections like BTX or Hyaluronic acid fillers required. Treatments with laser and ultrasound have proven particularly effective here, setting new standards in wrinkle treatment. In this blog post, we reveal how the therapies work and what results can be achieved with them.

Laser for rejuvenated and improved skin

In the Acura Clinic, we rely on the so-called. CO2 Fractional Laser. This laser device „shoots“ minimally small holes into the skin. The epidermis and dermis are injured at specific points – which is not dangerous and hardly visible. The small injuries trigger a regeneration process in the skin, leading to a firming renewal and restructuring of the skin and tissue. With CO2 Fractional Laser treatment, good results are possible with minimal downtime. You can quickly return to your usual daily life.

The advantage of the treatment lies not only in its simplicity but also in its versatility:

  • Skin rejuvenation using a CO2 fractional laser
The laser is used on the face to alleviate superficial lines, as well as deep wrinkles in the area of the lower eyelids, cheeks and mouth. The treatment results in smoother, firmer skin.
  • Improvement of skin texture with CO2 Fractional Laser
Laser treatment can also be used when there is no beautiful complexion or even skin tone. This allows irregularities to be smoothed out, sun damage to be repaired, and pores to be minimised. Annoying age or pigment spots can also be treated with the CO2 fractional laser. It is also used for xanthelasmas (yellow or red, sharply defined deposits of fat or fat-like substances in the skin), syringomas (skin-coloured to yellowish papules up to 5 mm in size), and melasma (hyperpigmentation; excessively strong deposits of melanin in the skin).
  • Scar removal by fractional CO2 laser
Old surgical scars, accident scars, or acne scars can also be treated with the CO2 fractional laser. As a result, they can fade or disappear completely.

The laser treatment is extremely gentle and can be used on the face as well as other areas of the body such as the décolletage, neck, hands, etc. However, it is possible that several treatments at different intervals may be necessary to achieve the desired result.

Ultrasound lifts and optimises the skin

Thanks to the innovative ultrasound system Ultherapy We can treat and beautify your skin in a variety of ways.

The ultrasound head directs the ultrasound waves into the intended tissue layers. They are briefly heated to approximately 65 – 70 degrees. This leads to the regeneration of collagen fibres. In this way, skin firmness and elasticity are restored.

Ultherapy treatment can be used for eyebrow lifting, to rejuvenate the entire face, or to firm up a sagging chin and neck area, for example. The décolletage can also be firmed up and freed from creasing with Ultherapy.
After the treatment, the skin gradually becomes firmer and tighter. The final result is visible after approximately three to six months. Often, a single treatment is sufficient to achieve the desired firming effect. For pronounced wrinkles, we recommend repeat treatments to enhance the effect.

Cellulite can also be reduced with Ultherapy.
